Blush Rose Black Hat w/ Dramatic Veil circa 1940s 。This is an amazing millinery creation from the fabulous 40s\'. The crown is short, and almost invisible due to the gorgeous and imposing red/fuchsia fabric \"roses\" adorning the front. the crown is also surrounded by baby blue serrated edged felt bands. The brim is made of wide strips of pigeon blue straw made into a \"star\" or \"serrated\" pattern as shown in the photos. The top of the crown also has the same straw \"star\" shape, plus 2 felt serrated edge circles. The look is finished by a full matching blue veil. The inside of the hat is lined with a cream colored fabric. This is a stunningly creative and most fashionable one of a kind vintage hat!!! The wartime 40’s saw a huge variety of hats that were suitable for any face shape, hairstyle or personal preference. Throughout the war & on both sides of the Atlantic, elaborate creations brightened dreary utility fashions, brought about by rationing. The only items not rationed were hat materials.
